We have always been extremely fortunate to have such an active and supportive PTA at our school and this year has be no exception. Throughout the year and varied and hugely successful range of fundraising events together with more social occasions have raised over £21,000!
Recently, at our Sports Day, members of the PTA presented the school with a cheque for the sum total of their fundraising this year. Spending of the money has already been planned and is in process: £10,000 towards the leasing costs of our upgraded computing hardware, tables and chairs for Y5, new children's trays/ storage for Y3 classrooms, children's home-school diaries, a defibrillator, additional 15 ipads and cases/charging station to name but a few of the purchases already made. New curriculum resources for the new year are being sourced which will add to the children's learning enjoyment for the new academic year.
A huge thank you to the members of the PTA who meet regularly to plan events but also to the many parents who attend, help set up and run events during the year. We couldn't provide the rich CSPA experience without you! Long may your hard work, support and enthusiasm continue!
Well done to the large group of children who participated in the annual Year 6 Games at the Misbourne School on Monday. This is a multi-sport event including tennis, football, cricket, netball, hockey, tag rugby and curling! The children had an incredibly busy day, competing in their sports and they did a fantastic job. The cricket, football and tennis teams won their competitions and I am delighted to say that with the points from all sports combined, we were the overall winners! Well done and thank you to the parents and staff for their support and encouragement.
What a fantastic week of athletics we’ve had! Firstly, some Year 5 and 6 children represented the school at the District Sports field events, followed by the long-awaited track events. The children had worked incredibly hard in the build-up to these competitions and they didn’t disappoint. They all competed at this high level with commitment, enthusiasm and maturity. We had a quite a number of individual and team successes including winning 5 out of the 8 relay trophies with placings in the other three. Soon after, we heard that we were the overall winners. Well done to all those children involved and a special thank you to the parents and members of staff for their support. We look forward to hosting our own Inter-4 schools athletics match on Tuesday 12th July starting at 4pm at Mill meadow.
