• Netball Tournament Review

  Finally, the moment we had all been waiting for the Chiltern and south Bucks primary schools’ netball tournament! Unfortunately the weather was not what we hoped for with wind and showers, but we all persisted and the day was a success. 

   

  As we all arrived, there were lots of other familiar school names that were popping up on the back of school tracksuits (over 24 teams took part). During the firsts rounds the B team had mixed results and go through to the runners up league.  They played really well in difficult conditions and some of the players were very new to the squad.

   

  The A team started their round winning all bar one match.  The teams were even at the top with points.  It was tight, but we got through into the plate on goal difference. We started the round and we battled through and won every match convincingly. As the final game came to an end we all squeezed into the club house and the results were amounts… the B team came fourth in their league and the A team WON!  

   

  Well done to all the players that took part.

• French Verse Speaking at St Mary's School, Gerrards Cross

  Congratulations to Laren, Ben, Charlotte, Surina & Paula who all performed superbly and were a great credit to our school. Special congratulations to Charlotte who came first in the native speaker category and to Surina who came first in the Year 5 category. Félicitations à tous!

• Gymnastics - Up Date

  I am delighted to report this morning that our 4 boys representing CSPA and the South of England became National Champions on Saturday at Stoke on Trent.

   

  Performing, firstly with their floor sequences, our boys executed their routines superbly and scoring top marks for the U11 boys' section. Our vaults followed with equal success. By the interval CSPA were leading the field by 3pts. During the Afternoon session our team trio group performed their sequence with near perfection with much acclaim from the packed audience.

   

  After an exciting and enthralling day, at the end of the championships our U11 boys' team was announced as National Champions for 2013.

   

  Hearty congratulations to Jack, James, James & Sam.

  

• The Big Book Swap 2013

  The Big Book Swap has been an overwhelming success! Thank you so much to all the children who brought books in  - we were amazed at the number of wonderful books which must have totalled several thousand. There was a great buzz around the school and the children thoroughly enjoyed 'spending' their tokens on new books to take home.The event highlighted the pleasures of reading and seems certain to become an annual enterprise.
