At CSPA, we strive to offer a huge number of varied extra-curricular opportunities as clubs for our children which teachers and coaches provide before, during and after school. Teachers kindly give their precious time outside of the classroom to provide children with these opportunities as they recognise the benefits in providing further enrichment for the children.
Booking information
Before a club is due to start, teachers will ask children if they are interested in joining their club. For external clubs, information on how to sign up is shared via the weekly newsletter. Once a list of interested children has been generated, the school office will send an email to parents making them aware of their child’s interest in the club and to share further information including costing involved, dates and arrangements. A payment request will appear on your Parent Pay account. Agreeing to the payment via Parent Pay confirms that you give permission for your child to join the club.
In order to cover costs associated with running our clubs we ask for a contribution of £15 per term. Should the club run for fewer weeks than a term, we ask for a contribution of £10. There is no charge for lunchtime clubs. Charges associated with external clubs are separate and shared in their communication via the school weekly newsletter. We hope this also encourages children to be committed to their clubs in order to fully benefit from all they have to offer.
Club capacity and ratios
Due to the large demand for some clubs, in the interests of safety, adult to child ratios and the need to work with manageable numbers, some clubs either have limited spaces available or need to operate on a rota basis. Some clubs are “open” clubs, meaning that they are open to all children or they may be appropriate for specific year groups only.
Cancellation of clubs
If clubs operating before or after school need to be cancelled for some reason, a message will be placed on the school website’s scrolling bar.
