Having taken delivery of our new school minibus last term, I am pleased to inform you that it now proudly displays our school name and logos. With the work completed over the half term, sponsored by our wonderful PTA through their dedicated fundraising, the minibus will now look fantastic as it journeys both locally and further afield to regional and national competitions.
We are now looking for sponsors, who would like to advertise their company with either logo and/or QR code along the top margin of the bus. Please contact the school office for more information.
The year 6 children were evacuated to the village of Coumerwick for a '1940s Wow Day',
It was a great chance for them experience and learn about life as children on the home front during the 1940s as part of their WW2 history topic. They really enjoyed the day and hope you will enjoy reading their recounts and looking at the photos in the gallery.

This year children from Chalfont St Peter Academy won 9 of the 16 prizes available! Kate, Monty, Evie and Sophie from year 3 and Adam from year 5 were presented with their prizes and certificates at the prize giving ceremony on Friday. Unfortunately our year 4 winners couldn’t attend as they were returning from Osmington Bay at the time. Lucy, Louis, Lukas and Jack were therefore presented with their prizes and certificates in assembly on Monday.
Congratulations to all the children, especially Jack and Sophie who were winners in their age groups and won £100 each for the school.
Seven of our children competed at the Buckinghamshire ‘Megafinal’ stage of the UK Chess Challenge on Saturday 17th May. During the course of the day they each played 6 games against children from Buckinghamshire of the same age. Well done to: Katherine (Year 3), Sebastian and Jonnie (year 5) and Madhu, Chris, Shae and Jack (year 6).
All the children performed very well against tough competition and it is a pleasure to announce that Katherine and Jack qualified to compete at the next level of this national competition – the Southern ‘Gigafinal’. Katherine is also now the under 8 girls’ chess champion for Buckinghamshire. Well done to all the chess players for their superb efforts on Saturday.

Two National Gymnastic Titles- Simply The Best!
The winning U11 teams from Chalfont St Peter CE Academy,(Boys), Maltmans Green, (Girls) and the runners up in the mixed section, Stoke Poges, were representing the South of England in the National Finals. With their aggregated scores, The South, also won the George Finney Trophy for the region that achieved the highest scores. It is a great credit to our three local schools in Chiltern South Bucks, that they performed at such a high standard in national school gymnastics. |
