• Gardening Club - Report Summer 2011

  This year in Gardening Club we have been busy growing:

  We have chitted and grown potatoes & we held our own competition to see which year group grew the most potatoes. Year 5 won and everyone got to take some home! Fleur cooked a wonderful "Potato Boulangere" dish with our potatoes and we all had a taste - delicious!

   

  We also have made a little garden patch in the top playground. We planted lots of different plants like mange tout peas, courgettes, runner beans, sweetcorn, radishes, strawberries and herbs. We also planted flowers like marigolds which have grown really well and very quick!

   

  We are growing some trees too, such as cherry trees and rowan trees. We have planted them in pots and in the ground with some really pretty flowers!

   

  We have grown tomatoes and peppers in pots which some of us are taking home to grow over the summer.
