  • County Quadkids Final

    Fri 07 Jul 2017

Having won the qualifying round of the Quadkids Competition in June, our team of Year 5 and 6 athletes competed  in the final against all the other regions of Buckinghamshire. The children had to compete in 4 events including a sprint, long distance, throwing and jumping event. They were joined several other schools all trying their very best to be the winning school. After some tough competition, I'm delighted to share with you that CSPA were the overall winners and receive the prestigious title of Buckinghamshire County Athletics Champions! The children were fantastic! They not only competed at a very high level, but they also showed wonderful team spirit, support and encouragement for all. They were a credit to the school! Thank you to the parents for their support and also to Mrs Alburg and Mr Underwood (Jr) who managed the children brilliantly on the day.

  • A New Vicar for Chalfont St Peter Parish

    Wed 05 Jul 2017

On Wednesday 5th July John Goodman was formally made the vicar of the parish at a service of Institutions, Inductions and Installation at the Parish Church. The service which was carried out by various members of the clergy, including Bishop Alan of Buckingham and the Archdeacon was a formal occasion but very celebratory.

I am delighted that John came into school this morning for his first whole school assembly as vicar, leading us in song, reflection and prayer with great pupil involvement! We look forward to our continuing strong relationship with the church going forward, not least our next occasion in church when out Y6 leavers will hold their end of year service.

I am sure our children and parents will want to join me in offering John and his family a very warm welcome from the school, as our newest member of the CSPA family.

  • Wye Valley District Track Events

    Mon 03 Jul 2017

What a fantastic week of athletics we’ve had!  Firstly, some Year 5 and 6 children represented the school at the District Sports field events, followed by the long-awaited track events.  The children had worked incredibly hard in the build-up to these competitions and they didn’t disappoint.  They all competed at this high level with commitment, enthusiasm and maturity. We had a quite a number of individual and team successes including winning 5 out of the 8 relay trophies with placings in the other three. Soon after, we heard that we were the overall winners.  Well done to all those children involved and a special thank you to the parents and members of staff for their support.  We look forward to hosting our own Inter-4 schools athletics match on Tuesday 11th July starting at 4pm at Mill meadow.
