  • CSPA are National Gymnastic Gold Medalists!

    Thu 10 May 2018

Chalfont St Peter Church of England Academy are once again national champions, having won the gold medal at the finals at Stoke on Trent! A remarkable achievement for the mixed team alongside the boys team who also reached the incredibly high standard of the national finals and finished 8th overall. Well done to the wonderful children, our fantastic coaches and our very supportive parents!

This is a report written by Carmen, Ella and Isiah in Year 6:

'On Saturday 5th May, our mixed and boys teams went up to Stoke on Trent and competed in the National Gymnastics Finals. Both teams performed to their best on the floor and vault, and as a result made our school very proud. The boys team-consisting of Year 4 and 5 children-placed 8th overall.

The mixed team including Year 5 and Year 6 children also did very well and gained gold medals for the first time since 2011!

Everyone was ecstatic when our school was called up to the first place podium and it was a fantastic send-off for the gymnasts in Year 6.

Thank you to Lucy and Amy for being two amazing coaches leading the mixed team to victory!'
