Chalfont St Peter CE Academy fought their way through a gruelling table tennis championships in the English Schools National Finals at Hinckley, Leicestershire on Saturday.
Very strong opposition forced the boys and girls squads, who had qualified last month at Cheltenham, to perform at the highest level to win points. By the end of an enthralling day’s play Chalfont St Peter CE Academy played some brilliant table tennis to achieve silver medals in the U11 Girls’ competition and 4th position for our boys.
Special thanks go to Mrs Jenny Hill for her coaching of the two teams and managing the South Bucks table tennis league so efficiently. Thanks also go to the parents and friends of CSPA who supported so enthusiastically throughout the day.

Congratulations to our Mixed Team who performed so well in the National Finals on Saturday at Stoke on Trent. Our six gymnasts marched out on to the competition floor at 11:30am on Saturday morning and performed brilliantly. As a team, our vaults scored some of the highest scores we have achieved over recent years. Equally our floor routines received much applause from the vast audience.
At the end of an exchausting day's gymnastics the organiser announced that CSPA were runners up to London in the U11 Mixed team championships and our team were presented with well deserved silver medals. The very strong winning team representing London, won by 1.5 pts.
National Carita House School Team Championships

Chalfont St Peter CE Academy performed brilliantly on Saturday in the national school team gymnastic finals in Stoke on Trent. Both our girls’ and boys’ teams excelled in their floor and vault routines together with terrific performances in their group sequences. By the end of an exciting and enthralling day’s competition, open to twelve regions of Great Britain, Chalfont St Peter CE Academy, representing the South of England, was presented with three trophies:
U11 Boys’ National Champions
U 11 Boys’ Group Sequence winners
U 11 Girls’ Runners Up to London in the Plate competition.
Congratulations to our gymnasts and our thanks go to their parents and staff for the wonderful support they readily provide. Special thanks to Miss Suzy Holliday for her coaching and support, to prepare the children so well for the championships.
