  • CSPA are Gymnastic Southern Champions once again!

Mon 29 Jan 2018 Mrs Alburg
Many congratulations to our incredibly talented CSPA gymnasts! On Sunday at the Southern Floor and Vault Championships our girls', boys' and mixed teams performed superbly well gaining outstanding scores on both the floor and the vault. Once again, their composure, team spirit and determination shone through leading to exceptional success. Our girls' team achieved bronze medals against a very high standard of competition - they were fantastic and should be so proud of their achievements finishing behind 2 high-performing independent schools. Our boys' team made up of Year 4 and 5 boys were also brilliant giving mature and focussed performances. They thoroughly deserved the success of being gold medalists and southern champions! Likewise our mixed team didn't disappoint. The high level of gymnastics continued and the mixed team also come out on top as gold medalists - absolutely wonderful! CSPA is so proud of all their achievements and we wish them all the very best as they represent the south and our school at the National Finals!
  • Cross Country at Hervines Park

Mon 29 Jan 2018 Mrs Alburg
Children from Year 3 to Year 6 represented the school in fantastic style on Saturday at our third match of the season at an incredibly muddy Hervines Park! In difficult conditions, our CSPA runners ran with great spirit, determination and strength. Many crossed the line covered in mud and some without their shoes! Once again there were a number of individual successes as well as some team medal results. Well done to all the children for their wonderful effort and to the members of staff and parents for their support.
  • Year 6 Science Museum

Sun 28 Jan 2018 Nicole Vitty-Neil and Daisy Munton
On Monday 22nd January, Year 6 went to the Science Museum in London. We saw a range of exhibitions covering a wide variety of topics such as: space, technology, the human body, the hidden world and so much more! One of the highlights of the trip was seeing 'Mysteries of the Unseen World' on the 3D Imax cinema screen. We all really enjoyed our trip and we will remember it forever!
  • Mrs Broad joins the team at CSPA!

    Wed 17 Jan 2018

I am delighted to be writing to you as Headteacher of Chalfont St Peter Church of England Academy. I feel extremely honoured and privileged to have been chosen by the Governing Body to continue to build upon the success the school has already achieved under the excellent leadership of Mr and Mrs Underwood. Everyone has made me feel very welcome and I am thoroughly enjoying my first weeks at the school.

I have been a Teacher, Deputy Head Senior Leader in schools for 13 years in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and in Bracknell Forest, my most recent post being Head of School at Bisham C of E Academy near Marlow. I have taught in a wide range of primary schools; maintained, independent and academies and also have experience at secondary school level, sitting as Chair of the Education committee in a Church of England academy in Maidenhead.

It stood out clearly, from the first moment that I came to CSPA, that it is a school with an extraordinary community, who wish the upmost success for their children and who have a caring and supportive ethos at their core. It is undoubtedly a welcoming and successful school with amazing children and dedicated staff and I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to take over the leadership of a school with such a good reputation. I am passionate about working in partnership with the children, staff, governors and yourselves as the local community to continue to celebrate and promote CSPA as an exciting, happy and successful school.

I would like to thank you personally for your continued commitment and support towards the staff and pupils of this school.

    Yours faithfully,

    Mrs Hayley Broad

  • BSGA Southern Milano Trio Championships

What an outstanding morning of Gymnastics on Sunday! Our boys, girls and mixed teams all represented the school in the first major gymnastics competition of the year. The teams and coaches had all worked incredibly hard in the build up to the championships and confidently took to the floor and vault in order to give their best for the team. The children performed exceptionally well individually and then as a team in their group sequences. The support they received from staff, parents and each other was a credit to the school. All teams gained medals with the girls finishing in 3rd place behind 2 very high-performing independent schools, the boys were silver medalists and the mixed team were gold medalists and champions! Both the boys and mixed teams go on to represent the school and the south in the National Finals - an amazing achievement! Well done to our CSPA children and coaches!
  • Table Tennis Zone Finals In Birmingham - Truly Terrific Table Tennis!

Mon 15 Jan 2018 Mr Underwood and Mr Briant

Representing Buckinghamshire, the boys and girls table tennis teams of Chalfont St Peter CE Academy ventured up to Wednesdbury, Birmingham on Saturday 13th January for the National Zone Finals.

Booming with confidence and CSPA spirit, the teams took jaw-dropping victories against their first schools, the boys winning 8-0 and the girls winning 7-1, all players showing off their incredible skills. As our teams headed into the second round of matches, all the while turning a few heads, more success followed by conquering our opposition once again. As there were only three schools in the U11 girls category, one match remained for our enthusiastic girls team. Despite the evidence of superior skill and play, the team unfortunately lost their final match of the day. However, the CSPA boys team continued to swiftly dominate their group, they were victorious against their third school. Moving into the last match of the day, the boys ran out of luck as they came up against their toughest opposition.

Both the boys and girls teams of CSPA achieved second place in the Zone Finals, as a result progressing into the Regional Finals in February. A fantastic result at the end of an emotional and energy-packed day (I can’t imagine what it was like for the players).

A colossal well done to all players involved for an inspiring day of table tennis and to the parents for the relentless support.

Boys Team: Nick C, Danny T, Dexter D and George D

Girls Team: Rachael I, Alice G, Poppy G and Clarissa N

Therefore, the hard work continues…the fight for the National Finals is on!
