  • Year 3 trip to the Roald Dahl Museum

    Fri 27 Sep 2019
'On Wednesday Year 3 went to the Roald Dahl Museum and we designed a tree for the Twits. We got some ideas for the tree by looking at Victorian times jewellery. On our tree there were flowers, birds, jewellery, spiders and an axe.

We also went into the magic room. The magic room was very fun. Ms Meek disappeared because the crocodile ate her, but she was fine and she didn't really get eaten. She was shrunk with, what I like to call, the shrinking machine.

I liked everything on Wednesday but I personally think my favourite thing would be the Fox's tunnel and the shrinking TV. In Mr Fox's tunnel I saw a Stone Age knife and a piece of pottery'.

  • Cross Country At Gayhurst School

Wed 25 Sep 2019 Mrs Alburg
On Saturday, our CSPA runners represented the school for the first time this year at our first cross country match of the season. It was a beautifully sunny day which is rather unusual for a cross country event! The children were fantastic! They competed with lots of determination and it was also lovely to see so much wonderful teamwork and encouragement of each other. We had many children finish in the top 10 (with often almost 100 children in a race) and also gained some team medals too. Well done to everyone and thank you for supporting our CSPA cross country team!
