Osmington Bay: Y4 Residential

Friday 16th May

Update 5.30pm

The party arrived back at school safely just after 5pm. It was fantastic to see the smiling faces coming off the coaches! We hear that the staff at the PGL centre commented that our children were the best behaved group they have had this season!

 

Update 10.25am

Children are enjoying their final activities of their trip before lunch!

 

Update 8.20am

The Y4 party are already packed and ready for breakfast. Children have their last two activities this morning before lunch after which they will be boarding the coaches for the return journey home. The sun continues to shine and all are happy and well!

 

Thursday 15th May

Update 10pm

The children have had a really good day which ended with a disco - enjoyed by everyone!

 

Update 5.15pm

All continues to go well in Osmington. The children have had a packed day full of activities and have all been fantastic! Everyone is looking forward to dinner and then a disco tonight!

 

Update 4pm

The sunshine has been a wonderful addition to the day's activities. Children have enjoyed fencing, abseiling, climbing wall and problem solving earlier and activities on the beach this afternoon.

 

Update 8am

We have heard from Mrs Valentine this morning, reporting that the children have all had a good first night's sleep on their residential trip. They were up early this morning, tidying rooms for the first morning's room inspections! Breakfast is at 8am with a wide variety of choices to select from before first activities begin at 9am. (Further updates and photos will be made during the day where possible.)

 

Wednesday 14th May

Update 8pm

All is well. The children have enjoyed a range of activities this afternoon including the giant swing, problem solving and archery. Everyone has eaten well and are presently singing around the camp fire.

 

Update 4.50pm

The children have been enjoying their first activities this afternoon.

 

Update 2.50pm

We have heard from Mrs Valentine that both coaches have arrived safely at the centre after spending some time at Studland Beach. Everyone has had lunch and are just about to start their first activity. All are in good spirits and very excited!

 

Update 1.50pm

After meeting at 8am this morning, the children and staff all boarded the coaches amidst glorious sunshine.
