Year 4 have had a really exciting week! On Wednesday they travelled to the Globe Theatre in London, where they participated in some workshops based on the play, Hamlet that they have been working on in their drama lessons this term. Seeing the open-air theatre as part of their tour was inspirational for everyone and brought to life their learning during the term, imagining the actors on stage where they stood, performing the lines the children have come to know well!
With a walk over the Millennium Bridge to see St Paul's Cathedral and a walk down the river to see the Tate Gallery, the children had a truly wonderful day.
A group came in called Now Press Play to talk to us about World War II. They showed us what it was like to be a child in World War II. They brought in headphones which were very effective.
I now know how horrible it was and how unfortunate it would be if the world war was still happening.
The world war should never happen again.
