Wye Valley District Athletics Track and Field Matches July 2015
District Champions!
Chalfont St Peter Church of England Academy retained their title as District Champions at the Wye Valley District Athletics match, an annual event now held at the Wycombe District Athletics Centre in Marlow. Competing in the large schools category, Chalfont St Peter children gained sufficient points to take them to the top of the table, assisted by winning 5 of 8 relay trophies in addition to races won by many of their talented athletes. Elizabeth Underwood, Headteacher said, ”I am delighted that the children’s determined efforts have been rewarded and the enthusiastic coaching of our staff during training sessions has paid off, continuing our sporting record.
Special thanks to Nicola Alburg and John Underwood for leading the coaching sessions with such successful results.”
The school is also hosting an athletics match in an Inter-4 athletics competition with schools invited from the local area. (More photos are available in the Gallery)
