Nine Lessons and Carols : 4th December 2015

The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is a service of Christian worship celebrating the birth of Jesus that is traditionally followed at Christmas. The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus is told in nine short Bible readings from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and choir music.

This year CSPA set aside time during this busy advent period to produce a display relating to each of the nine readings in readiness for Chalfont St Peter's 'Fun Night'. Each class in Years 3-5, produced an artistic representation of their given reading.

Working with Luke Maxted from St Peter's Church, the displays were presented along Church Lane next to the Church Hall.

They attracted a lot of attention and provided an excellent example of our children's high quality art work.
