    Thursday 13th June

    Update: 10pm

Well our last day has come to a close! It has been an amazing trip and although it's not over quite yet, tonight has been the perfect opportunity to reflect on the experience we have shared together. We are so proud of how enthusiastic, encouraging and willing the children have been to get involved in every opportunity. Above all, we have been proud to see children embrace the challenge of 5 days away from home, the physical demands of the activities and stepping outside of what feels comfortable. They have been brilliant! Congratulations Year 6!

Today, Miss Gordge and Mrs Bain along with Groups 6 and 7 enjoyed the waterfall adventure whilst other children and members of staff participated in all the activities they had left in the programme. We are ready for a good night's sleep!

Our estimated time of arrival back at CSPA is 2:00-2:30pm. I will keep you updated via this page of how we are progressing on our journey and give you a firmer time as soon as I am able.

    See you tomorrow!

    Wednesday 12th June

We also celebrated with our other special birthday boy yesterday! Happy birthday Samuel! It was lovely to celebrate your birthday with you.

    Thursday 13th June

    Update: 7:30am

Good morning from Wales! Firstly, apologies for the delay in sharing yesterday's (Wednesday's) update. With so many photographs to share and rather limited internet access, it can be tricky! I hope you enjoy looking at the children making the most of their activities yesterday. Group 4 and 5 were full of enthusiasm on the waterfall adventure despite the slightly cooler temperatures! Likewise, back at the centre, children and staff participated in climbing, archery, bushcraft, canoeing, kayaking, crate stacking and caving! No wonder they have all slept well! This morning, the children are enjoying their cooked breakfast; fuel for a busy day ahead! The children and staff continue to represent the school, themselves and their families brilliantly. Well done Year 6!

    Wednesday 12th June

    Update: 8am

Good morning! Following a good night's sleep last night, the children and staff are ready for another exciting and enjoyable day. I'm updating early today as I will be joining Group 4 on their waterfall adventure and I can't wait! All is well and the children are continuing to be brilliant! I will update again later with more photographs to show Wednesday in action! Have a great day!

    Tuesday 11th June

What a day! Our first full day at The Summit Centre has not disappointed! It's been jam-packed full of lots of adventure and fun. Shortly, we will be enjoying a roast dinner for tea followed by chocolate cheesecake all before more fun and games this evening. We'll sleep well tonight!

    Monday 10th June 2024

    Update: 10:15pm

It's been a brilliant start to our visit to the Summit Centre and Wales 2024! On arrival the children settled into their rooms before working together in their groups in some team-building activities. We then enjoyed our first meal of burger, chips and salad followed by delicious ice-cream and fruit! We are proud of how well the children have settled and how much they have been taking care of each other. We couldn't have asked for a better start! Now it's time for a good night's sleep ready for a day full of activities tomorrow! I will update again tomorrow but here's some photos to get things started.

We have arrived at the Summit Centre! Great journey here - very easy with no traffic issues. The children have just settled into their rooms with their things and are currently having a tour of the centre before some team-building activities. Our first meal will be dinner at 6pm. I will update again later on this evening, but just wanted to let you know all is well and we're looking forward to a fantastic week!
