    Update 9:30am

Good morning from a rather soggy Wales. The weather may be wet but the children continue to be in high spirits, determined to make the most of their last day. We have just enjoyed a delicious breakfast of croissants, pain au chocolat, toast, cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit. The catering team are certainly looking after us! Tonight, we're looking forward to a roast dinner! Before that, the last day is fun-filled and busy as the children enjoy the activities they've heard all about but have yet to enjoy. A further update will follow later.

    Update 10:40pm

What a fabulous last day and final night we have had! As Wales 2026 comes to an end, we have spent part of this evening congratulating the wonderful children of Year 6 for all of their enthusiasm, kindness and resilience. They have been amazing and we couldn't be more proud of them. I also shared my thanks to the wonderful members of staff who have given up their week to give plenty of love, care and encouragement to the children. It has been such a special week. I have completed a final update to the gallery. Tomorrow, I will be updating the website on the move as we travel back to CSPA so you have updates on our journey home. At present, our ETA is expected to be 2-2:30pm.

    10th June 2026

    Update 9:45am

Good morning all! The children have just left for their morning activities! Fortunately, the sun is shining and we're all a little more awake this morning! Group 4, 5 and 6 are on their way to their Waterfall Adventure, Group 1 are doing archery and bushcraft this morning, Group 2 are climbing, Group 3 are caving and crate stacking as are Group 8 and Group 7 are kayaking.

    Update 9:50pm

It's our penultimate night at the Summit Centre and the children are settling down to bed after another busy day. They have continued to be brilliant - trying everything with such positivity and enthusiasm. Tonight, the children used their knowledge of the centre to complete a treasure hunt which they did with equal enthusiasm. Well done Year 6! More photos have been uploaded to the gallery.

    9th June 2026

    Update 9:45am

Good morning everyone! All is well at the Summit Centre. We are fully fuelled following a cooked breakfast and ready for the day ahead. A further update will follow later.

    Update 10pm

The children have enjoyed a fun-filled and jam-packed day. They have all embraced the first round of activities and the first of our groups ventured off-site on the waterfall adventure day. The weather has managed to provide some bright spells and any rain showers haven't stopped us!

The day has been finished off nicely with a delicious dinner and some fun games together. The children are definitely more tired this evening so let's hope for an earlier night to sleep! Fingers crossed! Enjoy the added photographs in the gallery.

    8th June 2026

    Update: 3pm

We have arrived safely at The Summit Centre! The journey was excellent and the children have been brilliant so far. We have been welcomed back by the Rock UK staff who have been delighted to see us again. The children are just having some tours of the centre, being issued with kit for the week and settling into their rooms. I will update you all again later and throughout the week to share photographs and what's been happening.

    Update: 10pm

The children have enjoyed a great first afternoon and evening at the Summit Centre. They are learning all of the routines and we're settling into Rock UK life really well. The children have enjoyed their dinner, a lovely walk to the lake in the late evening sunshine and some playtime in the gardens . We are now settling down to sleep!

I have started to add some photos to the Wales 2026 gallery which you can access by clicking on the gallery in the red box on the right hand side. More will be added each day.
