Year 4 Trip to Osmington Bay

Wednesday 6th May 2026 10:30am

We waved the children off in great style this morning and I am delighted to have just received an update from Mrs Valentine to say they have just left Winchester after their scheduled stop. The children and staff are in wonderful spirits and looking forward to arriving at their destination. I will share another update later and throughout the next few days.

Update 12pm

The staff and children have arrived at Osmington Bay! All is well and the children are keen to get going with their first activity.

Update 8:30pm

Update from Mrs Valentine – The children have enjoyed their evening meal and following some relaxing time in their rooms, they have participated in their evening activity. They are all having a fabulous time!

Thursday 7th May 2026 9am

I have just had a catch-up with Mrs Valentine and all is well at Osmington. The children have been great on their first night and have woken up this morning ready for breakfast and a full day of activities. I will upload some more photographs to the gallery from yesterday as soon as I can so you can see more of what the children have been doing. 

Update 4pm

From Mrs Valentine: We have had a lovely day, the sun has been shining. The children have enjoyed activities including orienteering, climbing, zip wire and archery. They enjoyed a tasty lunch of burger and fries. We are looking forward to dinner later and then singing songs around the campfire. 

Friday 8th May 2026 12:30pm

I had a further update from Mrs Valentine this morning (apologies for the delay-this has been my first opportunity to add to the website). The children are still enjoying every moment and making the most of the wonderful activities. They slept well last night! The children and staff loved the campfire last night, especially the marshmallow toasting! They are all making special memories and learning so much from the experience. 

The estimated return time is still 5:30pm (traffic dependent). Mrs Valentine will keep in touch with me from the coaches and I will regularly update you on this page, to let you know if the estimated arrival time changes at all. Please keep checking back and refreshing the page.

The coaches are just about to leave Osmington Bay. 

Update 4pm

The coaches are just at Winchester for the scheduled comfort break. 

Update 4:25pm

Currently, the estimated time of arrival back to CSPA is 5:45pm 

Update 5:15pm

Traffic is heavy at times but ETA is still 5:45pm at the moment.
