There was no underspend for 2024/25 or funding carried over from previous years.
The school has spent some of the grant on continuing professional development (CPD) to benefit the children's sport and PE experiences. This has been spent to increase the confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sporting activities, to therefore increase pupil engagement and attainment, whilst also raising the profile of sport and PE, to offer a wider and more inclusive range of sports and to actively encourage and facilitate competitive sport.

There was no specific, targeted spending. However, through the spending made and actions taken, our PE and sport provision is inclusive, where no pupil is excluded due to specific needs of any type, their background or gender. Therefore, the spending has improved opportunities in PE and sport for all pupils.
The funding has had a positive impact on the following:
79% of Year 6 pupils can swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of 25 metres.
84% of Year 6 pupils can use a range of strokes effectively.
46% of Year 6 pupils can perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.
At CSPA, we have plans in place to develop the impact of our school's spending on swimming and water safety attainment and this is a top priority for 2025/26.
