Year 3 Visit to Bucks County Museum & Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery

The Year 3 children enjoyed a fantastic trip to the museum on Wednesday 27th September, enhancing their work on Roald Dahl. Half of the day was spent in a craft workshop making collages of Mr Twit's beard, complete with disgusting pieces of food. A mirror in the centre was placed there to remind the children not to become as nasty as the character in the book! The second half was spent in the Roald Dahl Children's Gallery exploring the many splendiferous activities including the giant peach, voice changers, optical illusions, the foxes' tunnel and shadow puppets. They also had the chance to experience a green screen which magically made them tiny or eaten by a crocodile. The staff made us very welcome and we all learned a lot more about Roald Dahl and his books.
