Student conference 27th January 2016
Nine Y6 pupils, elected by their peers participated on Wednesday in our first student conference. Pupils from several local schools joined together to engage in workshops focused on:
- Equality & Diversity
- Healthy Lifestyles and
- Friendships & Bullying
Presentations by some secondary student-leaders prompted animated responses and discussion. Our pupils spoke with maturity and displayed good general knowledge before creating large-scale display posters to record their contributions.
We intend to follow-up with workshops which our ambassadors can deliver to other children at our school. Well done to: Cormac Gilmore, Matthew Aldred, Harry Vintner, Joel Lewis, Calum Prieg, Victoria McMullen, Katie Atkinson, Daina Jenkins and Savanna O’Regan! It was lovely to see some of our past pupils as student-leaders on the day!
