Science Week: June 2015

The whole school enjoyed this 'feast' of science which took over our learning during the week commencing 8th June 2015. Teachers had prepared a wide range of science activities for children to engage with in thier journeys around the school. Feeding from the success of our Arts Week which is an annual occurrence in October each year, and by popular demand from our pupils, this week began to evolve slowly but surely as the year progressed.

Children moved in their classes to different teachers in different year groups to explore the science within each activity. With workshops and science show included the week took off as a highlight of the year!

On Friday, children arrived at school to find that a meteorite had landed in the playground and local police arrived to cordon off the area and interview witnesses who may have had some information. Finally, we assembled an exhibition of the children's science projects in the hall in time for the summer fete at the end of the week, so that all of our visitors could view their spectacular efforts.

A fantastic week! Well done to all of our children and staff for making a momentous and another very successful week in school.
