Official Opening of our new Learning Chalet!
fter many months of fundraising, discussion, planning and organising our Learning Chalet was officially opened in March. Our current Impact Reporters cut the ribbon at a little ceremony in front of the whole school with "Simply the Best" playing inside! Children of the school had frequently requested somewhere where they could go "inside" if they didn't want to play outside - somewhere where they could read, sit and chat, play games and draw. Therefore the Learning Chalet project was born.
The PTA funded the whole project raising the £25,000 required for the purchase, installation and furnishing of the chalet. It is a huge success, with children just loving using it - the Impact Reporters have decided that initially it should be used as a reward by the Diamond Achievement award winners, Gold achievement award winners, House of the week, Stars of the week and other nominated groups depending on the week's events!
