Many congratulations to our boys and girls who competed in the National Regional Table Tennis finals on Sunday 23rd February. They performed with great enthusiasm, competing against some very strong opposition from schools representing the south and west of England. We experienced a real test of excellent table tennis.
By 4.30pm, having played our matches, the final placings were very, very close. Unfortunately both of our teams were squeezed out of reaching the national finals on countback!
I would like to thank all of the parents and supporters who joined us yesterday and to the players who gave their all.
A special mention goes to Shae, who despite playing against the strongest 'Number 1' players from other schools and having to experience them scoring points against him - most unusually - he came back with great dynamism and determination in every match and finished the day unbeaten.
He certainly caught the eye of many a spectator who relished watching this talented young man.
Well done Shae and well done to all the girls and boys who represented CSPA so well. Thank you!
