Girls’ Football Match report by Grace and Ella (Class 10)
“On October 2nd 2018, Chalfont St Peter Academy played Little Chalfont in the first game of the season. Eager to play, CSPA started positively. With a great tackle from Acacia, the ball was dribbled to the goal and the year 5 student became the first player to score. Shortly after the first success, Ella took the ball from Little Chalfont and scored from the edge of the box. Everyone was ecstatic to celebrate two nil in the first half.After a five-minute break, CSPA confidently jogged onto the pitch ready to start. A Little Chalfont player whizzed past the defender, shot on target and was denied a ball by Niamh, who kept our sheet clean. Soon after, Megan heroically passed the ball to Grace who took CSPA to three nil. 10 minutes into the second half, Grace passed the ball to Katie who booted into the back of the net. Cheering and shouting, Poppy carried on the streak of goals. Five nil was a confident start to the season for CSPA's girls.”
