French Verse Speaking Competition

St Mary's School in Gerrards Cross welcomed children from all over South Buckinghamshire today to a competition which entailed children reciting poetry in French. There were categories for native French-speakers and also children just learning French. Congratulations to Charlotte, Mariam, Sebastian, Arabella and Maahi, who performed superbly representing our school against stiff competition. Special congratulations to Charlotte who came first in the native speaker category. In addition, we are delighted to have won three third place prizes.
Well done to all five children for working so hard to practice their poems and thank you to Mrs Downie, our French specialist for preparing the children so well! |
