Members of the CSPA cross country squad represented the school for the final time last Saturday at Lowndes Park in Chesham. It was a bright, sunny morning and the children ran superbly well! We had a number of individual successes as well as gaining some team medals. Well done to all of those children involved- - you were brilliant! A very special well done to the Year 6 children who ran at this match for the very last time. Some of the children have been part of the cross country club since they were in Year 3. Congratulations to the Year 6 boys who managed to gain a gold team medal and to Matthew Aldred who has won every race this season and has in fact won the gold medal at the last 6 races. A fantastic way to end their time as members of the cross country team.
Our final cross country club session was also held this week. Once again, the Year 6 children marked their final training session by organising and running a number of activities for the other children. They were very encouraging and supportive and also gave prizes to those children who did particularly well. The session ended with an Easter treat for everyone. Thank you once again to Mrs Ratcliff and Mr Jackson who support us with running the club.
