Christmas Production of "The Yellow Feather" by Paul Smith

Children of Year 5 and 6 at Chalfont St Peter CE Academy, brought the ‘West End’ to Chalfont St Peter this week, performing on a grand scale, their unique Christmas Production of ‘The Yellow Feather’. The musical production written by past music adviser, Paul Smith, produced and directed by Headteacher Elizabeth Underwood, was set in “Wonderland” and tells the story of the quest of two princes to determine which will succeed their father as King.  With 180 children on stage, the singing raised the roof and attracted audiences to pack the hall during a massive eight performances over two weeks!
Mr Paul Smith, retired music adviser for the county and composer of the music and songs said, “It was magnificent, as usual and as expected, the children sang their hearts out and yet again the school has achieved a triumph!”
Mrs Elizabeth Underwood,  Headteacher said,” I am so proud of the children; they work so hard to achieve such fantastic results in such a short timescale. Once again, they have brought the standard to a new level. Well done! “
