The class libraries are well stocked with a wide range of both non-fiction and fiction books. The children are encouraged to use these facilities for reference and reading for pleasure.

Study skills are developed during class visits and research-based homework.

New books are regularly added to the library shelves to ensure that the most recent titles are available for the children and staff to use, with selections being made with proceeds from our popular book fairs.

Classes make regular visits to our local library in Chalfont St Peter and encourage membership to support our passion to develop in all children a "love of reading" and curiosity about the world in which they live.

Reading Journals have been kept by all children to record and explore the variety of genre they read. Reflections about their enjoyment, the plot, characters and authors' styles are just some of the entries which children are guided to make.

“The school has been extremely proactive in seeking to ensure that pupils work with, learn from and understand people from different religious, social and ethnic communities both in England and abroad.”
Ofsted 2009

“…the pupils are mature global citizens and the school has a high profile in many different communities."
Ofsted 2009

The "Learning Chalet" also contains a range of books which the children have selected for sharing during playtimes.
