As children continue their CSPA journey, transition between year groups is carefully managed to ensure that all children are ready for the change in emphasis and pace.
During the latter part of the summer term, our transition arrangements are as follows:
All children take part in ‘Move up morning’ in July where children meet their new teacher and spend the morning in their new classroom
CSPA teachers have dedicated time for ‘move up’ meetings to discuss individual children's needs. Our SENCo is closely involved in order to ensure transition of vulnerable children is managed well and to ensure children with SEND are clearly identified and flagged up with new teachers
Informal ‘meet the teacher’ sessions are hosted early in the Autumn term to allow parents the opportunity to see the classrooms and meet the teachers
